Things got heated between Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic and Miami Heat veteran Markieff Morris on Monday night, with Jokic delivering a cheap shot to Morris after the Heat veteran gave the Nuggets center an aggressive bump as he dribbled the ball up the court.

While Morris' contact against Jokic was unnecessary, Jokic's shove of Morris with his back turned was completely uncalled for:

Afterward, Markieff Morris' twin brother, Marcus Morris of the Los Angeles Clippers, took to Twitter and was clearly upset about what happened:

There's definitely some bad blood brewing here between the Morris twins and Nikola Jokic, and this will have to be monitored in future matchups between them. The Morris' are known for playing a little dirty, so we'll see if there's any retaliation coming Jokic's way in the future. We can only hope there won't be anymore shenanigans, but something tells me there will be.

As for the game itself, Jokic and the Nuggets absolutely pounded the Heat despite being shorthanded. Jamal Murray is still out and Michael Porter Jr. is going to miss time, but Jokic just keeps on dominating and is looking like a top MVP candidate again. The Nuggets star recorded a triple-double on Monday night, going for 25 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in the big win over Miami.

There's a chance Nikola Jokic will have to miss time himself, though, because of a potential suspension for this hit.
