Los Angeles Clippers fans were witnesses to history on Sunday afternoon. Paul George, Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams each topped 30 points for the Clips in their 135-132 win over the New York Knicks, making them the first trio in franchise history to score at least 30 points in the same game.

Harell had every motive to ball out following his comments on Saturday night, in which he suggested the Clippers were not one of the best teams in the league and were lacking in energy. Harrell scored 34 points on 13-of-21 shooting and added six rebounds in 36 minutes off the bench.

Williams was the primary playmaker on the floor with Kawhi Leonard sidelined, scoring 32 points and adding nine assists for good measure, though he did have seven turnovers. George also committed seven turnovers, but he also scored 32 points despite fouling out of the game.

The day may have ended in historic fashion, but it certainly did not start that way.

New York scored a franchise-record 45 points in the first quarter and led the Clippers by 16 early. However, Los Angeles immediately fought back, scoring 47 points of their own to take a seven-point lead into the half.

The Clippers extended that lead to 14 after the third quarter, but the Knicks fought back in the fourth. New York cut the lead to just three with under five minutes to play, but they were unable to get the job done as the home team held on.

For the Clippers, it was a relief just to avoid another letdown after Saturday's blowout loss at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies, and they have Montrezl Harrell, Paul George and Lou Williams to thank.
