LA Clippers' star Paul George left Thursday night's game against the Boston Celtics with a left hamstring strain, the team announced. He finished the night with four points on 2-of-7 shooting from the field with a rebound and an assist in 15 minutes.

George suffered left hamstring ‘tightness' in January and missed one game for the Clippers. He played in the subsequent game before suffering a left hamstring strain at practice three days later. That injury cost him nine games across 21 days before returning against the Sacramento Kings in late January. This time, George only lasted seven games before suffering another strain in his left hamstring in the final game before the All-Star break.

The six-time All-Star now has just over a week to recover before the team's next game. The Clippers' first game after the All-Star break comes on Saturday afternoon against the Kings. At this point, it's unclear whether George suffered more tightness or a re-aggravation of the strain, but it seems likely the Clippers will play it safe with him given this is the third time he's injured the hamstring.

In 33 games this season, George is averaging 22.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.4 three-pointers per game on 42.8 percent shooting from the field and 39.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
