The 29-year-old George continues to miss games with a hamstring injury. He'll be sidelined on Saturday for a fifth straight contest. Additionally, veteran forward Maurice Harkless is questionable with a sore lower back.

George first missed a chunk of games during the early part of the season. The veteran forward was recovering from shoulder surgery he underwent in the offseason. The ex-Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star made his first appearance in a Clippers uniform on Nov. 14 against the Pelicans. He scored 33 points in his debut.

The former Most Improved Player hadmissed the past four games. He last appeared for L.A. in the Jan. 5 home win over the New York Knicks. George scored 32 points before fouling out in 26 minutes in that bout.

On the season, George is averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He's shooting 42.9% from the field, 39.5% from 3-point range, and 90.9% from the free throw line. George is in his first year with the Clippers, getting acquainted with co-star Kawhi Leonard, who jointly agreed to come to Los Angeles with the other All-Star (Leonard signed as a free agent while George pushed a trade by the Thunder in July 2019).

The Pelicans are still without first overall pick Zion Williamson, but the power forward is expected to make his regular-season debut this month against the San Antonio Spurs. In the meantime, the Clippers will have to wrangle emerging All-Star candidate in forward Brandon Ingram, who recently set a new single-game career-high in scoring, pouring in 44 points and hitting a game-winning jumper against the Utah Jazz the other day.
