After losing Game 1 of their first-round playoffs series clash against the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue knows exactly what he needs to do in order to stop Luka Doncic.

The Mavs star is one of the best players in the NBA today, and he can punish opponents in a variety of ways just like he showed in Game 1 when he recorded a 31/10/11 triple-double. However, Lue is ready to make a big strategy change for Game 2 on Tuesday and allow Kawhi Leonard to cover Doncic more.

When asked why Leonard didn't get much defensive coverage on Doncic during their first game–with Kawhi instead getting more guarding duties on Kristaps Porzingis–Lue hinted that is going to chance in their next meeting.

“I think you'll get what you're asking for come Tuesday,” the Clippers coach declared, per Andrew Greif of Los Angeles Times.

The Clippers are already expected to make some major adjustments in Game 2 following their shocking upset in the opener. Kawhi Leonard made life hard for Krirstaps Porzingis the last time out, so it is not really surprising for him to take on Luka Doncic in their next clash.

Nonetheless, Luka is not only the Clippers' problem. With KP also declaring a potential bounce-back outing, there could be a lot more problems for the team if they let the other Mavs scorers more open.

Simply put, stopping Doncic is only the first step for the Clippers to get Game 2. Paul George, Marcus Morris, Ivica Zubac and Serge Ibaka will also need to step up offensively and defensively if they want to counter whatever the Mavs throw at them.
