It's not every college basketball campaign the Colorado Buffaloes enter the season with a lofty set of expectations attached to the program. And yet, here we are, less than two weeks away from it being the case.

This is not lose on those within the program, including the wickedly talented McKinley Wright.

“The bar is high for us of course,” said Wright, who along with junior guard/forward Tyler Bey earned preseason Pac-12 first-team honors. “A lot of people expect big things out of us. We’re going to do our best to give these CU fans what they deserve.”

Last season, the Colorado Buffaloes finished with an overall record of 23-13, making it all the way to the NIT quarterfinals.

It's worth noting that Wright played through injury during the 2018-19 college basketball voyage, but still managed to average 13 points and 4.8 assists per outing.

Time will, as it always does, tell just how good the Buffs can be this season.
