The Indianapolis Colts did not meet their full potential in 2019. From a playoff team in 2018 to a losing one the next year, their offense struggled with Jacoby Brissett replacing Andrew Luck. However, Brissett is not the only one at fault.

To get the Colts' offense humming again, receiver T.Y. Hilton must be healthy. In 2019, he wasn't, as he dealt with a calf injury that sidelined him for six games. Indianapolis won just one game with him out of the lineup.

Colts coach Frank Reich made it clear as day on Monday that if they are going to get the offense back on track, Hilton must be healthy. In addition, he must be the center of their offensive gameplan.

You just want to get him the ball more. I said it yesterday, if we’re going to fulfill our vision and win the games that we want to win he has to be at the center of it,” Reich told reporters Monday, via Kevin Hickey of Colts Wire. “We are still going to be a run-the-ball team, but T.Y. (Hilton) has to be at the center of it. He is a great player and it is our responsibility to get him involved and get him the ball.”

Hilton failed to produce in 2019, as he tallied 45 receptions for 501 yards and five touchdowns. The year before, the four-time Pro Bowler totaled 76 catches for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns — it should come as no surprise that the Colts went to the playoffs then.

Hilton's injury woes did him no favors in 2019. Hopefully, he can stay on the field in 2020 and beyond. If so, expect the Colts offense to run through him.
