Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has come under a ton of fire as of late, but appears to have silenced some critics after a stellar performance against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night.

There's some gloomy news in this otherwise wonderful cloud, as Dak Prescott appeared to have injured his hand during the game. According to the gunslinger, though, he's just fine and dandy.

“It’s good,” Prescott said, via PFT. “Just initially got hit on it. It bruised up and I felt it swell a little bit at the time. . . . We’ve got great trainers and doctors. They wrapped it up, fixed it up and we were ready to go.”

Prescott actually missed zero offensive snaps while getting an X-Ray on his hand. What would have happened if the offense saw the field during that time?

“Cooper Rush would have gone into the ball game at that point, but we got the return,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “Dak was able to come back out. He felt good enough where he could grip the ball, and he was able to play the last series of the first half.

“He’s a tough guy, and he plays the game the right way.”

People love Cooper Rush for some reason. Good for them.

Anyway, Prescott is fine. The results of those X-Rays obviously came back negative. Had they been bad, he wouldn't been allowed to reenter the game.

With the Cowboys beating the Redskins during a prime-time Thursday Night Football game, this should make life slightly less hectic for those calling for the QB's head on a stick.
