Dak Prescott put together another MVP caliber performance on Sunday. Against the Detroit Lions, the Dallas Cowboys gunslinger went 29 of 46 passing for 444 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. His stat line in the 33-27 put him in an exclusive club.

With Sunday's performance in the books, Prescott has now recorded four games of 375 yards passing and three or more passing touchdowns four times in 2019. The only other player to do so four times is Hall of Famer Joe Montana. Peyton Manning did it six times with the Denver Broncos in 2013.

Prescott feels the accomplishment to tie Montana is an honor. Recognizing the all-time great, the fourth-year quarterback said, via Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

It’s humbling anytime you get thrown in with the name Montana. It’s great, right? For me, it’s let’s go get another win and maybe I will get a fifth one. It’s all about moving forward and getting better.”

While being mentioned in the same sentence of Joe Cool is honorable, Prescott doesn't have his eyes set on the record book. The real goal? Win games. Luckily, after losing to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10, he helped the Cowboys rebound to the tune of a win over the Lions. Next week, he will face the New England Patriots and their vaunted pass defense. That opportunity may not bring about another big-time performance.

However, at the end of the day, Prescott wears a star on his helmet to win games. Stats and record books are just a bonus.
