New York Jets safety Jamal Adams wants to get traded, and it is clear his preferred destination is the Dallas Cowboys.

On Sunday, a fan posted a clip directly asking Adams if he is coming to Dallas. Surprisingly, the two-time Pro Bowl responded to the fan's query.

According to ESPN Senior Insider Adam Schefter, Adams has a preference list of seven teams that includes the Cowboys.

It's no surprise that Dallas is there on the list. After all, the Cowboys pursued Adams just before the trade deadline last year. The 24-year-old also knows that he will be welcomed warmly by the organization.

Apart from this, Adams was born in Texas, just outside of Dallas. Almost all athletes have an affinity for playing for their hometown team, or at least the ones near it.

Reports reveal that Adams wants to be the highest-paid safety in the NFL after churning monster numbers in just three years in the league. Jamal has a total of 273 tackles, 12 sacks, two interceptions and six forced fumbles.

To be the highest-paid player in his position means earning more than $14.6 million a year. While he definitely deserves it, the Cowboys have a cap space of $12 million and they are still embroiled in contract negotiations with top QB Dak Prescott.

So whether or not Jamal Adams ends up with the Cowboys is still a matter of wait-and-see. The chances might be slim, but there's still that possibility.
