The Dallas Cowboys easily won their game against the Miami Dolphins, 31-6. However, there was an incident during the Sunday game that got fans of both sides into heated discussions.

Allen Hurns, a former Cowboy, suffered a concussion after receiving a hard hit from Jeff Heath. Dolphins fans and players were understandably livid with the action and called the safety out for his unnecessary aggression.

However, the 28-year-old safety defended himself, saying that the hit was not intentional. Per Pro Football Talk, Heath denied the accusations set against him.

“I know what my intentions were and anyone who knows football knows what my intentions were,” Heath said.

“It was a bang-bang play. I was just trying to hopefully get to the ball before [a collision], but I wasn’t able to do that.”

Some Dolphins players feel like the hit wasn't well-meant at all. Miami wide receiver Jakeem Grant was mad at Heath and claimed that the hit was not clean at all.

Heath also stated he doesn't feel any need to defend himself. Furthermore, he said he's concerned about his former teammate and sent him a text to let him he know that he was in his thoughts.

The Cowboys have had a fantastic start to the season, winning all of their first three games in comfortable fashion. Through those same games, Heath notched 15 tackles and four pass deflections.
