The Dallas Cowboys dominated in Week 6, and Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin thinks Amari Cooper of the Oakland Raiders is the final piece they need. The Cowboys were clicking on all cylinders in their 40-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns and ran one in. Ezekiel Elliot had a 100-yard game on the ground and scored as well. Reports say the Raiders want a first-round pick for their star wideout, and Irvin thinks it's worth the risk.

“Amari Cooper would be the perfect guy,” said Irvin on the set of Thursday Night Football. “I know a lot of people are down on this guy right now. In '15 and '16 he went over 1,000 yards and last year he had seven touchdowns even though he missed two games. This man right here is the missing piece to the Dallas Cowboys truly being a Super Bowl contender. Listen to what I'm saying, a Super Bowl contender.”

Cooper is only a fourth-year player, but he's already been named a Pro Bowler twice. This is an impressive feat for someone so young. The 1-5 Oakland Raiders have definitely hurt his production. It's clear that he's team's only real deep threat, so teams can lock in on him all day. While he'll be a free agent in 2019, he could be wooed by a favorable suitor if he fits in well after a trade.

Michael Irvin recorded over 11,000 receiving yards in twelve seasons with the Cowboys. It's safe to say that this three-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler knows a thing or two about being a good receiver. Amari Cooper has the type of speed and open field running ability to immediately make him the team's top target.

It may cost the Cowboys get him, but a chance to hold the Vince Lombardi Trophy could make it worth their while.
