Kris Bryant’s heartfelt thank you message to Cubs brings all the feels
After six years with the Chicago Cubs, third baseman Kris Bryant was traded in late July to the San Francisco Giants. He entered the scene in 2014, winning minor league MVP just to explode as part of the Cubs, winning Rookie of the Year and MVP honors in his first two seasons with the Chicago team.
However, while everything suggested he will be a Cub for life, he was traded to the Giants for prospects Alexander Canario and Caleb Kilian.
He made his debut in August for the Californian team and now his new team is playing against the Cubs in the world-famous Wrigley Field. Coming back to his second home, Bryant posted a video on Instagram thanking the franchise, city, and all the fans for everything. It was a very emotional video and it is clear that there is no bad blood between the player and the city, or the franchise.

San Francisco Giants currently have a record of 92-50, which is the best ratio in the National League West. The Cubs, on the other hand, are sitting at a record of 65-78, which is good enough for only the fourth place in National League Central.
It seems like Bryant is in a better team right now, but that does not mean that he forgot what the city of Chicago gave him and he can be sure that the Cubs and the whole city will not forget his contributions in the six years he spent there.
