Conor McGregor finally seems to be headed towards a return to the UFC. UFC President Dana White appeared on The Jim Rome Show to discuss the Irishman's return.

There are a lot of factors in a return for Conor McGregor. His injury is a big one along with who he fights next and what his future looks like at lightweight after losing two fights in a row.

Speaking to Jim Rome, Dana White admitted the injury was a big concern when it came to booking Conor McGregor again.

“This kid needs to heal up,” Dana White said (transcription via The Independent). “I don’t know how fast that leg is going to recovery. It’s basically going to be all about when can he start kicking again and, more importantly, when can he start taking kicks again. That will determine when he fights again.”

Conor McGregor's leg appears to be doing much better. The Irishman claims he can kick with it again even though doctors have been clear that he should not be kicking anytime soon.

McGregor injured his ankle back in July against Dustin Poirier. It hasn't been exactly clear what caused the injury as there has been plenty of speculation.

Some claim the break came from Conor McGregor hitting Poirier's elbow while some say he landed on it weird. No matter what caused it, it's very clear that it was broken.

He has a few options in terms of opponents for his return including Nate Diaz. It's still unsure what the future looks like for him at lightweight.
