Daniel Ricciardo is a well-known figure in Formula One racing. He is currently racing for McLaren and represents Australia in competition. He most recently ended his underwhelming 2021 season in 8th place under World Drivers’ Championship standings, with Max Verstappen coming out on top. Despite this setback, Ricciardo continues to enjoy a long and continuing career, and still has many future opportunities to bounce back. In this post, though, we’re focusing on Daniel Ricciardo’s girlfriend Heidi Berger.

We are well familiar with the exhaustive list of accomplishments that the 32-year-old has accumulated so far as a competitive racer. In this piece however, we are going to talk about the Italian-Australian driver’s girlfriend, 24-year-old actress Heidi Berger.

Daniel Ricciardo was born in Perth, West Australia to Italian-Australian parents. He started karting at nine years old, and hasn’t looked back since. Throughout his career, Ricciardo has been likened and referred to as a “honey badger.” The said animal is known to be extremely fearless, and is said to reflect Ricciardo’s racing style. He previously raced several years for Red Bull, before signing with Renault for two seasons. Most recently, he joined McLaren for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

The 32-year-old is also known to keep a pretty discrete and private personal life. He has always kept his love life a guarded secret.

Before Berger, he was in a relationship with high school girlfriend Jemma Boskovich until they split up in 2016. He was then also linked to Jessica Gomes, a Perth-raised model. However, the pair neither confirmed nor denied the rumors. Now, we get a glimpse as to his budding romance with girlfriend Heidi Berger.

Berger is a 24-year-old aspiring actress based in America. She is currently a student at New York University. Presently, she has a decent following on Instagram at just over 41,000 followers. According to her profile’s bio, she is affiliated with Conway van Gelder Grant Ltd. and talent agency Buchwald.

Based on her posts, she seems to love dogs. Her Instagram profile also features several photos of her out on road trips, at the beach, and out on the streets of New York. Additionally, she has posted several images featuring friends and family, including a cute throwback with her parents and older sister.

Coincidentally, her father has a background in competitive racing. Gerhard Berger is a former competitive racer, having driven for Ferrari and Riccardio’s current team McLaren. He previously raced for 14 seasons and won 10 Grands Prix before eventually stepping out of the limelight in 1997. The 62-year-old also used to race alongside Formula One legend and close friend, the late Ayrton Senna.

Gerhard was a fan-favorite despite never having won a championship throughout his long career. He was known for his humor and often tried to break the ever-serious Senna. He eventually became advisor to Ayrton’s nephew, Bruno Senna, who also became a Formula One driver.

The Austrian great was also married to former model Ana Corvo until their divorce in 2013. They had two daughters born in 1995 and 1997, Sara Maria and Heidi. While Sara lives a relatively private life, Heidi has opted otherwise, choosing acting as her preferred career path. As of now, she has had several acting stints. Her bio on IMDb lists recent roles from 2015 to 2018 in television shows including A Única MulherTrakehnerblut, and Onde Está Elisa?

Celebrity gossip Instagram page Deux Moi claims Heidi celebrated Ricciardo’s 32nd birthday with him in Austria. Anonymous sources have also spotted the couple spending time together in New York, with claims of the two shopping and eating around, and eventually entering a hotel. Fox Sports also referenced a video of the pair riding a helicopter in June last year.

Aside from several sightings here and there, Ricciardo has stayed true to his private personality. The McLaren driver discussed difficulties dealing with the whole situation last year in an interview with GQ, saying:

“It certainly is difficult when you’re so driven towards something. I’ve been doing F1 for 10 years so I’m constantly looking for more from it and putting myself first and being selfish. It is difficult and you do have to shut things out along the way and that is people and at times relationships. It’s finding that balance.”

It seems that Berger followed her significant other’s example. In fact, despite being active on social media, neither have alluded to the relationship.

Nevertheless, we hope they are doing well and wish them all the best. Here’s to nothing but happiness ahead of the lovely couple.
