Dario Saric, who is suffering from soreness in his left heel, has been placed on a 24-minute restriction by the Philadelphia 76ers. The team announced the development recently as they are taking a cautious approach on their promising big man's injury.

The 22-year-old Croatian international admitted it was tough to hear the Sixers' decision but he had no choice but to comply and respect it, as he knows they only want what's best for him. He also added that he now understands how frustrated Joel Embiid was during the start of the season, as he was also given the same guideline.

Saric has raised his level of play since mid-February and is now the odds on favorite to win the Rookie of the Year Award at the end of the season. He is averaging impressive numbers of 12.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in only 26.4 minutes per game.

With the 76ers already headed to the lottery, it makes a lot of sense for them to limit his minutes and not risk Saric hurting himself more. Richaun Holmes and Justin Anderson are both expected to see increased playing time as they try and fill the void left by Saric in their remaining games.
