The Miami Dolphins are one of many sports teams currently dealing with a number of positive COVID-19 tests. The Dolphins were hit with another brutal blow ahead of their Week 15 game against the New York Jets. Rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has tested positive for COVID-19, per NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

That's a big blow to the Dolphins, who are already likely going to be without all three of their projected starters at running back in Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Phillip Lindsay thanks to positive COVID-19 tests. Now, the team will have to take on the division-rival Jets without their best receiver in Jaylen Waddle.

Waddle has authored an impressive rookie season for Miami, hauling in 86 receptions for 849 yards and four touchdowns, including five straight efforts with 60 receiving yards or more. Not having Waddle on the field will be a big blow for the Dolphins offense, even against a Jets team that they've already defeated.

Miami could still get one of their halfbacks back in time for the Jets game, but they will have a tall task ahead of them even if they do. It also wouldn't be out of the question for the Dolphins to receive another positive COVID-19 test among their skill-position players, given the virus outbreak among the NFL.

For now, the Dolphins will have to prepare for the Jets game without the services of rookie wideout Jaylen Waddle, who tested positive for COVID-19.
