The NFL is attempting to bring awareness to social issues in today's society and each team will be doing different things individually during the season. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Miami Dolphins players have announced that they will stay inside during the playing of the national anthem.

Going back to 2016, Colin Kaepernick began the movement of kneeling during the national anthem. Due to him speaking out on racial injustices, Kaepernick was heavily criticized and would be blackballed from the NFL.

However, with the multiple instances of racial injustice in recent months, there will be plenty of players kneeling during the anthem. Adrian Peterson, who recently signed with the Detroit Lions, said he'd be kneeling before games.

On the other hand, the Dolphins are going to express their support by staying off of the field during the anthem. At the same time, they created a video calling for people to step up and incite change.

With the tragic events that took place this year, the NFL is going to have messages painted in each end zone in games. On top of that, teams can sport the names of racial injustice victims on their helmets.

In May, following the unfortunate death of George Floyd in police custody, Brian Flores released a statement on racial injustice. Flores called for everyone to gather together and work toward creating change in the very world we live in.

Most teams have discussed having peaceful protests during games to further the conversation on social issues. After having conversations on the matter as a team, the Dolphins won't be on the field when the national anthem plays this season.
