The Utah Jazz couldn't escape injury in their series against the Houston Rockets and that was no different in Game 5. Donovan Mitchell had to be helped off the floor in the fourth quarter and didn't come back until less than a minute left to sit on the bench.

The Jazz still had a chance to make a comeback before Mitchell went out with injury, but once he left the court, the series was all but over.

The good news for Mitchell and the Jazz is that the x-rays came back negative and he was only diagnosed with left foot soreness.

He will be going through more x-rays after the team returns to Salt Lake City just as a precaution but right now, it looks like he escaped any serious injury.

Although they fell short in winning the game, Mitchell can be proud of what he was able to accomplish not only in this game but this season.

Mitchell poured in the points in the 3rd quarter putting up 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting including 2-of-4 from deep. The entire Rockets team was only able to put 21 points during the same stretch. In Mitchell's first postseason, he averaged 23.3 points and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 41.2 percent from the field.

This offseason, the one thing that Mitchell really needs to work on is his play on the ball. He got really comfortable playing off the ball when Ricky Rubio was healthy but when Rubio went out with an injury, the rookie guard really struggled at times running the team.
