The Philadelphia Eagles are currently finding themselves in a slump. They've started the season losing two games in a row thus far. Their latest defeat was in the hands of the visiting Los Angeles Rams who dealt them a 37-19 beating in Week 2.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was not happy about his team's performance. One glaring factor there was Carson Wentz's less than stellar accuracy on passes.

“Just missing,” he said. “I guess you can point to a lot of different things: Missing OTAs, not having all the necessary maybe reps during training camp, missing preseason games, whatever it might be, the timing of things that we do in the passing game and just missing these throws.

The Eagles coach addressed questions regarding quarterback Carson Wentz visibly missing on some easy throws during the game.

“They are throws that he typically would [make], and it's a little bit, too, on the receivers. Sometimes the receivers need to make the catch as well. So it's things that we have to continue to work.”

The former North Dakota State standout had a hard time making plays under center against a formidable Rams defensive line last Sunday. He generated a total of 242 passing yards on 26 of 43 passes completion along with two interceptions.

Sophomore running back Miles Sanders made his season debut and tallied 95 rushing yards on 20 carries along with a scored touchdown. Veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson also record 64 receiving yards on 6 receptions while rookie Jalen Reagor had 41 receiving yards on 4 touches of his own. The tight end duo of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert meanwhile made their presence felt, but it  wasn't enough as the Eagles still failed to snag their first win.

The entire Eagles offense will be better once Wentz gets his groove going in the gridiron. Pederson and the rest of the team should take advantage of their next matchup against Joe Burrow and the also-winless Cincinnati Bengals in order to finally break into the win column.
