A few days ago, prolific streamer Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm went into an outraged rant on stream about battle royale game Apex Legends. In the clip, he said: “I hate this game! It's boring! Shooting shields, I don't like it!” Additionally, he claimed that that was why “no one wants to watch this game competitively,” and “why it didn't do good in esports.” The full clip can be seen below.

This, of course, has led to an outcry from Apex Legends fans, as seen on their Reddit. Notably, though, Dr Disrespect has taken breaks from the game before, aside from uninstalling the game and saying he wouldn't be returning.
However, Dexerto reports that ahead of Apex Legends Season 10, Dr Disrespect had some clarifications. They reported the following statement from one of his broadcasts:
“I spoke my mind in the heat of the moment,” he said.
“At the time, I was in the heat of the moment in that Apex Legends game, yeah. As you people know, everyone that is actually inside the Arena knows, I’m enjoying myself with Apex Legends. I’m having a good time.”
Additionally, he also explained that his “iconic” streaming outbursts aren't because of his dislike of those games. Instead, he really makes it a point to express his criticism for franchises he wants to see improve. “If I’m not screaming, I don’t like it,” he claimed. “If I’m there, not yelling about your game, not tweeting it out, then yeah, I don’t much like that game.”
