Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards was electrifying on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. He dropped 28 points while adding seven rebounds, and five assists. That performance caught the eye of Dwayne Wade, who reiterated just how special the Ant-Man is and also voicing the heights Edwards could reach in his career.

The Miami Heat legend finished his illustrious career with three championships, one Finals MVP, and 13 All-Star selections. Wade and Shaquille O'Neal led the Heat to a ring back in 2006. In the early 2010s, he was a member of the Big 3 Heat team with LeBron James and Chris Bosh that went to four straight NBA Finals.

Wade is best known for his dynamic, slashing ability, which he used to get to the rim with ease. He's arguably one of the best shooting guards of all-time which means Edwards has a long way to go, but the former Heat star certainly believes the Timberwolves youngster can get there.

The 2020 Timberwolves' first overall pick has a physique closer to an NFL linebacker than an NBA guard. Like Wade, Anthony Edwards does his best work when driving to the basket. He also has a shaky jump shot, which he'll have to work on because when Wade played, the three-point shot was not used nearly as much.

While Edwards' defense doesn't pop out, he has the athleticism and the length to be a respectable defender in the future. He'll certainly be a key piece of the Timberwolves' future and hopefully, one of the best players in the association one day.
