After a disappointing start to their 2020 season, the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to bounce back when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 this Sunday. Their offense will get some help in the form of running back Miles Sanders, who confirmed that he will play for the Eagles in their game against the Rams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Sanders missed the game against the Washington Football Team due to a hamstring injury, but appears to be ready to go for Philadelphia’s Week 2 match against Los Angeles. The running back was sidelined for most of the team's training camp due to what was initially considered a hamstring issue, but was eventually forced to miss their Week 1 game against Washington.

The 23-year old Sanders, who was taken by the Eagles with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, had a strong rookie season for coach Doug Pederson. In 16 games and 11 starts, the Penn State product had 179 carries and rushed for 818 yards, scoring three rushing touchdowns. He also added 50 receptions, 509 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns for the Eagles, who ended their 2019 season with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card Round.

The Eagles are coming off a 27-17 loss to the Washington Football Team in their season opener, which saw their opponent storm back from a 17-0 Eagles lead in the second quarter. Sanders’ return will be beneficial for an Eagles’ offense that stalled in the second half against the Washington defense, with quarterback Carson Wentz being sacked eight times after scoring two touchdown passes early in the game.
