Carson Wentz has struggled against good teams as of late. With the Philadelphia Eagles' 17-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the books, the fourth-year quarterback is now 3-8 against winning teams over the past two seasons, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Wentz was 9-8 against winning teams in his first two seasons in the NFL.

Whether you want to blame his pass catchers, coaching, run game or offensive line, Wentz had a bad game on Sunday. He erratically missed passes, coughed up four turnovers and led an anemic offense to a poor outing against a defense missing their best pass-rusher in Jadeveon Clowney.

On Sunday, Wentz went 33-for-45 passing for 256 yards, a touchdown, two interceptions and two fumbles. He finished with a 75.8 passer rating, good for the 11th-worst game of his career, in terms of the passer rating metric.

Wentz suffered an injury during Sunday's loss. He went to the locker room in the second half of the game, but returned without missing any plays. According to Jeff McLane of The Inquirer, the quarterback walked out of the training room after the game with his right hand wrapped in ice and a huge bandage.

Whether the hand injury hampered Wentz's game or not is yet to be known. However, he wasn't particularly on fire before then. He finished the first half going 10-for-16 passing for 62 yards and an interception.

While Wentz has struggled as of late, the Eagles are not yet out of the playoff race. At 5-6, they are still within reaching distance of the 6-4 Dallas Cowboys. Next week, they will play the hapless Miami Dolphins in South Beach.
