Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz left Sunday's playoff matchup against the Seattle Seahawks due to what has been categorized as a head injury.

With Carson Wentz unable to return to the weekend outing in Philadelphia, the Eagles were not able to overcome the always dangerous Seahawks en route to immediately being ousted from Super Bowl contention.

As a result, Carson Wentz has since issued a statement regarding the status of his health.

“So dang proud of this team and how we battled and overcame so much this season,” the Eagles quarterback wrote on Instagram. “Not the ending we envisioned but we will all grow and be stronger because of it! The fight and resiliency that this team displayed was so impressive. Love these guys!

“Also, appreciate the thoughts and prayers— I'm feeling good today and will be just fine! Head injuries are a scary thing so I appreciate everybody’s thoughts and prayers. Hate not being out there to finish it out with my guys because of a play like that, but it’s the unfortunate part of this game. It’s all in Gods plan, not mine! Trusting in him Philly, year 4 was one fun ride. Appreciate the love and support— especially the real ones who were with us through the highs and lows. Onward to next year… big things comin’, believe that!”

Carson Wentz and the Eagles reach the postseason by way of capturing a NFC East crown, one that initially appeared primed to be taken by the arch rival Dallas Cowboys. However, a late-season collapse by the Cowboys paved the way for the Eagles even with the franchise battling a slew of significant injuries along the way.
