Key Philadelphia Eagles staff are being poached by multiple teams in order to join their franchise. Jim Schwartz is among those people, but he has plans to come back to the Eagles should the opportunity he has close on him.

Schwartz is in the running for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job and was interviewed this week for the position. According to Eagles Wire's Glenn Erby, Schwartz will likely return to his position with the Eagles if the team didn't pick him for the job.

Moreover, Erby revealed that the Browns will likely select an offensive-minded coach to help sort out the talented yet troublesome offense the Browns have.

The Browns are likely to choose from the Patriots’ Josh McDaniels, Minnesota’s Kevin Stefanski, and Buffalo’s Brian Daboll.

All three are offensive coordinators and would be needed for the reclamation project that is Baker Mayfield.

The fact that Schwartz may not get the job is not a knock on his abilities. The Browns need to focus on getting their offense straight, as Freddie Kitchens ruined whatever good mojo the team had at the end of the 2018 season. They need a creative tactician who can make Baker Mayfield great again.

Schwartz is a solid defensive mind who has helped the team reach the Wild Card rounds in spite of the problems they have roster-wise. The Eagles are third-best throughout the NFL when it comes to rushing yards allowed. He's not as solid on pass defense, but he did help the 2017 Eagles win their Super Bowl title.

Moreover, he will likely find more success by sticking with Pederson in Philadelphia.
