Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins took to Twitter to share one of his favorite plays from last season, and broke down his incredible instincts and anticipation. Jenkins more or less ends up saving the day and preventing a touchdown, making a leaping deflection.

“One of my favorite plays from last season,” Jenkins wrote. “I was actually supposed to blitz! I realized no one is covering the 3rd receiver, then the ball is snapped. When mistakes are made you just gotta survive the down. These are the things I take pride in.”

The play was very nice, but it wasn't posted for no reason. The tweet was likely a not very subtle message to the Eagles, and a sort of ‘pay me' reminder. Malcolm Jenkins has been staying away from the team's voluntary workouts, which raised eyebrows because he's usually always in attendance.

Many have speculated that his absence is related to his contract, even though he still has two years left on his deal. Jenkins signed a four-year, $35 million extension in 2016 that will pay him $8.35 million this year and $7.85 million next year.

He's not exactly making peanuts, but he clearly feels underpaid compared to what other top safeties are making. A handful of safeties this year like Earl Thomas and Landon Collins landed monster deals paying up to nearly $14 million annually. The former first-rounder made his second straight Pro Bowl last year, so it's not surprising he might feel he's worth more than he's currently getting.
