The Philadelphia Eagles believe that Carson Wentz will be their starting quarterback at the beginning of the 2021 season. While that may be true, the Eagles are also beginning to listen to trade offers for Wentz this offseason, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

At the moment, the Eagles aren't shopping Wentz around to teams as they believe he could be their starter next season. However, Philadelphia is willing to field offers for its former first-round pick, allowing the Eagles to see what his trade market looks like.

The Eagles hired a new head coach in Nick Sirianni hoping he could fix Wentz and help him overcome his recent woes. Wentz finished the 2020 campaign with a dismal 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a league-worst 15 interceptions in 12 starts.

Of course, what could make Carson Wentz tough to trade is his massive four-year, $128 million extension that he signed ahead of the 2019 season. However, we just saw the Los Angeles Rams unload Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matthew Stafford, though, the Rams had to include an extra first-round pick to convince Detroit to inherit the rest of Goff's contract.

Ever since the end of the season, Wentz has been rumored as a trade candidate for the offseason. At the same time, Wentz has reportedly welcomed the idea of being traded elsewhere, giving him a fresh start to his career.

There are multiple teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, who could inquire about Carson Wentz in the coming months. But for the time being, the Eagles haven't expressed interest in moving Wentz via trade despite having teams call them on his availability.
