The Philadelphia Eagles are obviously committed to Carson Wentz as their quarterback moving forward, but not everyone on the team seems to be all that happy about it.

Apparently, some of Eagles teammates think Wentz is selfish:

“Carson Wentz’s biggest enemy is Carson Wentz,” one source said, according to Joseph Santoliquito of Philly Voice. “He’s had his (expletive) kissed his whole life, and sometimes acts like he’s won 10 Super Bowls, when he hasn’t played in, let alone won, a playoff game yet. Everyone around him wants good things for him. He did more thinking on the field than he did playing (in 2018). You don’t have to be a brain surgeon or a football expert to see how differently this team plays and reacts with one guy as opposed to the other.”

Wow. Those are some harsh words.

What's more, other sources have described Wentz as “uncompromising,” “egotistical” and one who plays “favorites” and does not appreciate being “questioned.” The sources also claim that Wentz does not “practice what he preaches” and that he fails “to take accountability.”

Santoliquito adds that sources also confirmed that Wentz was once verbally attacked by a highly-respected teammate for not being “a team guy.”

So, obviously, Eagles players much prefer Nick Foles to Wentz. However, Philadelphia's organization remains attached to Wentz moving forward and seems poised to cut ties with Foles this offseason.

You have to wonder what type of effect this is going to have on the Eagles' locker room.

Foles led the Eagles to their first ever Super Bowl title last year in place of an injured Wentz.
