The Hawks franchise has been around since 1949. The organization was initially called the Tri-Cities Blackhawks and has since undergone a few more name changes before settling on the Atlanta Hawks.

The franchise was named the Milwaukee Hawks and St. Louis Hawks as well.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at every trade deadline move the Hawks have made in its long history:

1949-50

The Tri-Cities Blackhawks traded Don Otten to the Washington Capitols for Jack Nichols.

1950-51

The Blackhawks sent Kleggie Hermsen to the Boston Celtics for Harry Boykoff.

1951-52

The Milwaukee Hawks dealt Dike Eddleman to the Fort Wayne Pistons for Art Burris and cash.

1957-58

The St. Louis Hawks traded Frank Selvy to the Minneapolis Lakers for Dick Boushka and Terry Rand. The team won the 1958 championship over the Boston Celtics.

1959-60

The Hawks sent Nick Mantis, Chuck Share and Willie Merriweather to the Minneapolis Lakers for Larry Foust.

1962-63

St. Louis dealt Barney Cable to the Chicago Zephyrs for Woody Sauldsberry.

1969-70

The Hawks, who were now in Atlanta, traded John Arthurs to the Detroit Pistons for Walt Bellamy.

The team also sent Zelmo Beaty to the San Francisco Warriors for Clyde Lee and a 1970 first-round pick. Lee was sent as the player to be named later on October 4, 1974.

1972-73

The Hawks dealt Jeff Halliburton to the Philadelphia 76ers for a 1973 third-round pick.

Atlanta also traded Don May to the Philadelphia 76ers for Dale Schlueter.

1978-79

The Hawks sent Butch Lee and a 1983 first-round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Terry Furlow.

1982-83

Atlanta traded Rory Sparrow to the New York Knicks for Scott Hastings and cash.

The Hawks also dealt Steve Hawes to the Seattle SuperSonics and received a 1984 second-round pick and a 1985 second-round pick from the Detroit Pistons.

Atlanta completed the busy '83 trade deadline by sending a 1984 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Rickey Brown.

1985-86

The Hawks traded Eddie Johnson to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Johnny Davis.

1989-90

Atlanta dealt Antoine Carr, Sedric Toney and a 1991 second-round pick to the Sacramento Kings for Kenny Smith and Mike Williams.

1993-94

The Hawks traded franchise icon Dominique Wilkins and a 1994 first-round pick to the Los Angeles Clippers for Danny Manning.

1995-96

Atlanta sent Andrew Lang and Spud Webb to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Christian Laettner and Sean Rooks.

1999-00

The Hawks dealt Anthony Johnson to the Orlando Magic for a 2004 second-round pick.

2000-01

Atlanta traded Roshown McLeod and Dikembe Mutombo to the Philadelphia 76ers for Toni Kukoč, Nazr Mohammed, Theo Ratliff and Pepe Sánchez.

2003-04

The Hawks sent Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Dan Dickau and Theo Ratliff to the Portland Trail Blazers for Wesley Person and Rasheed Wallace.

Atlanta then dealt Wallace to the Detroit Pistons and got Željko Rebrača, Bob Sura and a 2004 first-round pick in return.

The Hawks also traded Nazr Mohammed to the New York Knicks in exchange for Michael Doleac and a 2005 second-round pick.

2004-05

Atlanta sent Antoine Walker to the Boston Celtics for Tom Gugliotta, Gary Payton, Michael Stewart and a 2006 first-round pick.

2006-07

The Hawks dealt a 2007 second-round pick to the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Johnson.

2007-08

Atlanta traded Anthony Johnson, Tyronn Lue, Shelden Williams, Lorenzen Wright and a 2008 second-round pick to the Sacramento Kings for Mike Bibby.

2010-11

The Hawks sent Mike Bibby, Jordan Crawford, Maurice Evans and a 2011 first-round pick to the Washington Wizards for Hilton Armstrong and Kirk Hinrich.

2011-12 lockout year

Atlanta dealt a 2012 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for cash.

2012-13

The Hawks traded cash and future considerations to the Warriors for Jeremy Tyler.

Atlanta also sent Anthony Morrow to the Dallas Mavericks for Dahntay Jones.

2014-15

Atlanta traded Adreian Payne to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 2018 first-round pick.

The Hawks traded Shelvin Mack to the Utah Jazz and Justin Holiday to the Chicago Bulls.

Atlanta acquired Kirk Hinrich from Chicago.

2016-17

The Hawks sent Tiago Splitter to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ersan İlyasova

Atlanta also dealt Cenk AkyolMike Scott and cash to the Phoenix Suns for a 2017 second-rounder.

2017-18

The Hawks traded Luke Babbitt to the Miami Heat for Okaro White.

Atlanta also sent a 2019 second-round pick to the Washington Wizards for Sheldon Mac and cash.

2018-19

The Hawks dealt Tyler Dorsey to the Memphis Grizzlies for Shelvin Mack.

2019-20

Atlanta traded Evan Turner and a 2020 first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves and sent a 2026 second-round pick to the Houston Rockets.

The Hawks acquired Clint Capela from the Rockets.

Atlanta also traded Alex Len and Jabari Parker to the Sacramento Kings for Dewayne Dedmon, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 second.
