After losing to the Los Angeles Rams 37-10, the Atlanta Falcons are 1-6 and on a five-game losing streak. In doing so, coach Dan Quinn is on a speculated hot seat that burns to the touch.

However, his boss, Falcons owner Arthur Blank, doesn't seem to be giving any indication of firing him anytime soon. According to Jeff Schultz of The Athletic, Blank threw water on Quinn's hot seat — at least publicly — by saying, “I still support” the coach after the loss.

On paper, the Falcons are one of the most talented teams in the NFC. However, that doesn't reflect onto their in-game product, especially on defense. Quinn, the defensive play-caller, hasn't done himself any favors with his play-calling as quarterbacks are marking their calendars for Falcons games to get big performances.

Quinn is in his fifth season as Falcons head coach. He most notably led Atlanta to a Super Bowl in 2016, only to lose to the New England Patriots despite being up 28-3 in the third quarter. Atlanta posted a 10-6 record after, and then haven't recorded a winning season. It's clear that since the loss, the Falcons, under Quinn, are on a downward trajectory.

Nonetheless, Blank won't fire Quinn yet. However, league-wide speculation is that it will happen, likely after the season. The Falcons appear to be sticking with Quinn for the rest of the 2019 season and will dump him after.

Or, Quinn can spark an eight-game winning streak to get the Falcons over .500 and win his job.

Unfortunately, he still has to coach against the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints (twice) and San Francisco 49ers — a trio with a combined two losses.
