Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is right around the corner with leaks and teasers still coming nonstop. Explore the latest updates in the upcoming season, including new skins, updated locations, and upcoming collaborations.

As we all know, the upcoming season's theme will be post-apocalyptic. Even though rumors and leaks have pointed to a Mad-Max collaboration, Epic Games surprises fans with a collab with Fallout instead.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Official Teaser

After unveiling the upcoming season's official name as “Wrecked”, Fortnite has also released an official teaser and fans are going crazy over it. The game's official account on X (formerly known as Twitter) posted the teaser last Sunday, May 19, 2024.

While it's a familiar story that fan reactions to Fortnite's collaborations and new skins are often mixed, the recent teaser has sparked a more unified response. The majority of fans are showing strong support and excitement for the upcoming season. In fact, one user conducted a poll in response to the teaser, and fans wasted no time in participating and sharing their thoughts.

The teaser clip, lasting a mere 18 seconds, didn't reveal the whole storyline of the upcoming season. Nevertheless, this brief glimpse was sufficient to ignite excitement among fans for what lies ahead.

The caption of the Chapter 5 Season 3 teaser reads:

“SEATBELTS: ON”

This caption, aligning with the statement from Epic Games' Co-founder Mark Rein describing Chapter 5 Season 3 as “Nitro,” strongly indicates that the upcoming season will center around vehicles and automobiles in general. Additionally, some also believe that “Nitro” will be some sort of substance that will be used in the gameplay.

Moreover, Epic Games has sent packages to content creators containing a remote-controlled car believed to be the upcoming vehicle in Chapter 5 Season 3. The car, named Nitro, is a red tow-truck toy car with a black cogwheel on its sides and engine exhausts protruding from the hood and side skirts with a visible nameplate that reads “Eat Ntro.” This is a possible nod to the game's upcoming season.

Chapter 5 Season 3 Changes According To Leaks

Since the beginning of Fortnite, Epic Games has maintained a reputation for giving the game a makeover almost every season. With the arrival of Chapter 5 Season 3, fans are eagerly anticipating the changes in the map that Epic Games has in store for them. While the entire map won't be overhauled, fans believe that there will be alterations in one or two locations.

Nitro Dome

A few days after the teaser clip, the game's official X account posted another teaser.  Fans are quick to point out that this teaser image features the Blue Hair Girl that matches with the leaked Roadmap. But we will deal with this information later.

Also showcased in this teaser is a new possible point of interest (POI) named “Nitro Dome”. A POI is a location in the Battle Royale map that is popular with players and is often where players go to. Nevertheless, Fortnite has not provided any context regarding the teaser image other than the caption that reads:

“Enter at your own risk 😈”.

HYPEX, one of Fortnite's prominent leakers, added to the excitement about the POI featured in the teaser image by posting his prediction on X.

The leaker said that in Season 3, the location “Fencing Fields” will be replaced by “Nitro Dome”. The post showcases an image of a location from the current season's map, alongside a comparison with the Nitro Dome. While some fans agree with this prediction, others appear skeptical.

Sharkbait Ship

In addition to the Nitro Dome location, HYPEX also posted a new possible POI called “Sharkbait Ship”. Many believe that this POI will be the biggest one on the island. Another leaker, PeQu, also gave a closer look to the ship on her X account. Furthermore, this Sharkbait Ship is also known to be the source of the red light seen in the infamous sandstorm.

 

As of the moment, the ship is staying at a distance and players are currently not able to get on it. Players have also noted that the ship currently consists of extremely low-quality assets. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

NEW BUS

The Battle Bus is a vehicle that transports the players to the island before the match begins. Just like the battle royale map, Epic Games has also given the Battle Bus multiple makeovers over time. And with that, it really is not impossible that we will be given a new battle bus this coming season.

In addition to the leaked locations, HYPEX also predicts that Fortnite will be redesigning the Battle Bus. This was after the game's official X account posted a video featuring the Battle Bus being wrecked by a Monster Truck. The caption of this video reads:

“might be a new bus in town”.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Skins

Although skins do not affect gameplay mechanics, Fortnite skins, officially known as “Outfits”, serve as a way for players to express themselves and stand out in the game world. Furthermore, outfits are a significant aspect of the game, adding an extra layer of personalization and creativity for players.

Every season, Epic Games has always brought players a variation of outfits to choose from. However, there are still no official announcements regarding the outfits to be released this season.

Nevertheless, data miners and leakers took on the role of giving the fans a glimpse of what the upcoming season has to offer.

HYPEX posted on X highlighting all of the confirmed and rumored Season 3. The Blue Hair Girl, as seen in the teaser image posted by Fortnite, is also featured in this post made by HYPEX. The season’s teaser trailer also offered a sneak peek of the Red Helmet skin. The Nitro Carrot skin complements the season's “Nitro” theme, while the Skull Mask skin aligns with the new season’s skull logo. Additionally, Fortnite’s Dummy NPC has teased the Remix Dummy skin.
