Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones has been ruled out for the second half of Monday night's game against the Green Bay Packers with a hamstring injury.

The Falcons have been buried by injuries to their secondary in this game against the Packers. Now they have to once again deal with an injury to Jones, their superstar playmaker.

Jones was already dealing with a lingering hamstring issue coming into the showdown with Atlanta. He was sidelined during the Week 3 collapse against the Chicago Bears and drew a questionable designation following his limited participation in practice.

Jones felt healthy enough to take part in this high-profile showdown against the Packers, however, he only hauled in four receptions for 32 yards before he was ruled out. Although the Falcons had high hopes that the injury would not be enough to hold the All-Pro back, there are now concerns that he may have suffered a significant setback.

The prospect of Jones missing an extended period of time would undoubtedly deal a crushing blow for Atlanta's chances at securing their first win of the 2020 NFL season. For now, the onus falls on the rest of the receiving corps to pick up the slack for quarterback Matt Ryan and the passing game.

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been a touchdown maven to start the 2020 campaign and his nose for the end zone has made fans and fantasy owners alike. Unfortunately, Jones' absence has now allowed the the Packers to key on him in coverage. tight end Hayden Hurst along with wide receivers Russel Gage and Olamide Zaccheaus could be poised for a bigger workload.
