The Final Four of the March Madness Tournament takes place on Saturday, April 3rd. Jalen Suggs and the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs take on the 11th seed UCLA Bruins, where the winner will play in the coveted championship game.

The Bulldogs have been the favorites to win it all this year, as they play as a cohesive team. However, they are led by Suggs, a 6-4 guard that dominates the game. Apparently, while he was in high school though in Minnesota, he attracted many colleges inquiring about his availability. Not just in basketball, but football as well, per 247 Sports.

Nick Saban, the famously known head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, recalled a time where he saw him play on the gridiron. Jalen Suggs is a phenomenal athlete and has the size to really make a difference on the football field. However, his love for basketball won him over to go play for Gonzaga instead. Saban reflects on talking to the star guard:

“Well I vaguely do recall him as a player and he was a really good player,” Saban said this week after Alabama's first spring scrimmage. “He's a really good basketball player, you know, too, so I can't argue with anybody about the choice that he made in terms of, you know what he's known future and how he's trying to, you know, build a career in athletics. So he was a fine young man he was a good leader. He was a very talented player, and you know I enjoy watching him play.”

We can only guess how good Jalen Suggs would have been in Alabama, but based on what we've seen during his time in Gonzaga, we probably have a good idea of how dominant he could be in college football.
