Gegard Mousasi is set to make his return to the Bellator and he will be defending his highly coveted middleweight title. The challenger was already agreed upon ahead of time and it's none other than Mr. VanZant himself, Austin Vanderford.

The fight finally has a date and location. Bellator is coming back to Dublin, Ireland on February 25. The news was first reported by MMAJunkie.

The fight is a very exciting one as it pits two well-rounded strikers against each other in an attempt to find out who is the best middleweight in Bellator. This pits the veteran against the hungry up-and-comer.

Gegard Mousasi came over to Bellator from the UFC back in 2017. The Dutchman became a free agent and opted to try things out in a new organization after defeating Chris Weidman in his last UFC fight.

His only loss in the organization so far is a decision loss to Rafael Lovato back in June 2019. Lovato was forced to retire later on after finding an abnormal mass in his brain.

Gegard Mousasi would beat Douglas Lima for the vacant title back in October 2020. He became the Bellator champion and now looks to defend it a second time.
