Joe Judge was fired by the New York Giants on Tuesday after two unsuccessful seasons in the Big Apple. Following his firing, Judge spoke to Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com and delivered some heartfelt comments to the organization, players and ownership.

Here are the former Giants head coach's sentiments to ownership and the fans after being fired.

“As I reflect on my tenure with the Giants, I want to express how truly grateful I am for the opportunity to be the head coach of the New York Giants. Thank you to the Mara and Tisch families, to the organization and incredible support staff and to the fans — proud, loyal fans who rival any fanbase in sports with their passion and devotion. It was a privilege to represent these people during the past two years. Thank you for showing up week-in and week-out to support our team.

Judge expressed gratitude to owner John Mara and co-owner Steve Tisch while also shouting out Giants fans, who he said “rival any fanbase in sports.”

Judge then made some heartfelt comments towards the current Giants players he coached before he was fired.

“To the current Giants players, thank you most of all. When I became the head coach, I said that we would ask you to come in and give everything you had every day. And you did. I am so proud of you, grateful for you, and I believe in you.”

The ex-Giants head coach isn't in an easy position right now but the fact that he still said he is proud of the New York players and “still believes in them” even after being fired is a touching sentiment.

Joe Judge's tenure as Giants head coach went very poorly but his heartfelt comments towards Giants fans, players and ownership were a classy gesture on his way out.
