It's a make-or-break season in 2022 for New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley authored one of the greatest rookie seasons for a running back in 2018 but has since failed to find the form that made him a top pick in the NFL Draft. The Giants running back has had to listen to pundits and those around the game label him as a bust due to injuries and ineffectiveness. Well, Barkley has grown tired of listening to the noise. In fact, he has a strong message ahead of the 2022 season, one shared by the NFL on CBS' Twitter account.

Barkley is tired of the ā€œBSā€ that has been said about he and the Giants. He said that he wants to go out and prove that he is the same player that the team spent the second overall pick in the 2018 draft on.

That player, of course, went on to total 2028 scrimmage yards and 15 touchdowns while earning the Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. That season was the only time that Barkley has appeared in all 16 games in an NFL season, as he has since succumbed to injuries.

This past year was a particularly difficult one for the Giants star, as he worked his way back from a season-ending knee injury only to suffer a sprained ankle just a few games into his return. It's enough to really wear on a player's mind.

That's why Barkley has a different tone this offseason. The Giants star is legitimately tired of hearing the noise around him. Ability is not the issue with Barkley, it's his health.

If he's on the field, expect Barkley to look like the 2018 version of himself.
