The Memphis Grizzlies were given a proper scare on Saturday night after Ja Morant was forced to the locker room in the third quarter of their bout against LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets. Morant twisted his left ankle after stepping on the foot of a cameraman and it looked for a moment there it looked like this was going to be a problem for the Grizzlies.

Here's a look at a freak incident that could have led to a major injury for Morant (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Morant immediately clutched his ankle as soon as he fell to the ground. True enough, the Grizzlies' superstar point guard had to be checked in the locker room after the rather unfortunate incident.

The good news for the Grizzlies is that Morant was able to return in the fourth quarter to finish the game. It doesn't seem like the ankle bothered the 22-year-old for the rest of the contest, but he could have some tests done on that ankle after the game. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

This incident once again sheds light on how cameramen are dangeoursly positioned right under the rim. It makes for some great shots on the broadcast but at the same time, there's also no denying that it puts the players at risk.
