Trae Young has obviously enjoyed being the villain in the NBA Playoffs. In his first postseason stint, Young has already annihilated, torched, and pummelled opponents with his devil-may-care attitude.

After leading the Atlanta Hawks to an OMG-did-that-really-happen win in Game 5 on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers, Young only further validated himself as an antagonist. A talented one.

After the game, Hawks veteran Lou Williams gave a perfect description of his young teammate (via Hawks reporter Kevin Chouinard).

“He's a monster.”

Yup.

This monster, however, comes in the form of a fleet-footed 6'0″ firestarter. On Wednesday, he finished with a game-high 39 points on top of seven assists and three steals. He earned his meal stub from the free throw line, shooting 17-of-19.

One would think a diminutive guard like Young wouldn't dare drive to the lane manned by the likes of Joel Embiid and Dwight Howard. But the Hawks speedster isn't scared of anything. It might be as simple as that.

He's averaging an impressive 29.6 points against the Sixers, who have yet to find an antidote for the former Oklahoma standout. Young, for all his gung-ho attitude, has been a huge revelation in the NBA Playoffs. While he's always been a talented player, nobody probably expected he'd be this comfortable in the postseason. In fact, it truly feels like he's enjoying himself even more.

As Williams pointed out, the monster that is Trae Young has been unleashed against the Sixers and he looks to destroy the entire City of Brotherly Love.
