The Miami Heat have released a statement following news that their arena in downtown Miami won't be allowed to be used as a voting center.

As expected, the Heat are upset with the decision since other NBA arenas have already been selected as polling centers for the upcoming election.

The city of Miami will be using a smaller science museum as a polling center instead of the AmericanAirlines Arena, which is one of the biggest stadiums in the US.

With that said, one can understand why the Heat franchise is disgruntled with the decision. After all, their arena has more parking, space and visibility than a random museum.

NBA players aren't going to tell fans who to vote for, although the prevailing thought is that everyone in the league is going to endorse Joe Biden over Donald Trump.

However, players want fans to at least get out there and vote so their voices can be heard. The Heat would have loved it if the AmericanAirlines Arena were chosen to be the latest NBA stadium to be used as a voting place, but they were sadly informed that it won't.

In terms of basketball, the Heat are currently up 2-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2020 playoffs. They'll look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead in Game 3.
