It should come as no surprise that Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James selected Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade to his team for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game. Now it appears Wade is looking to go out in style with his best friend and former teammate.

Team LeBron will undoubtedly be looking to secure a victory over Team Giannis. However, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel, Wade is also be trying to connect on an alley-oop with James one last time:

Wade said his All-Star goal is one last lob from LeBron.

Wade's request is certainly understandable. The alley-oop became a staple of theirs during the championship years in Miami. Nothing would be more ideal in their last opportunity to play as teammates in the NBA.

The NBA has managed to spice up the festivities over the last two years for reasons such as this. Team captains now have the opportunity to draft from a pool of players, however, the league also selected two honorary All-Star's given this year's circumstances. Wade made it clear where James' obligations would be when it came time to pick. As a result, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki will be on Team Giannis.

Although Wade will not start alongside James, it is safe to say that they will work out a way to share the court for as long as possible. There is a very good chance that “PB&J” will steal the show in Charlotte this year. It will be interesting to see if James can help wade make good on his wish.
