Tyler Herro has been one of the Miami Heat's best players throughout the regular season. His Sixth Man of the Year title is a clear testament to this fact.

Herro's production, however, has dipped significantly in the playoffs. From averaging 20.7 points during the regular season, the Heat stud's scoring has dropped to just 13.8 in the postseason. This just won't cut it for Miami especially now that they face the toughest test of their season in the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

An anonymous scout has thrown Herro under the bus for his performances in the playoffs. According to the unnamed source, the Heat aren't going to get past the Celtics if they rely too heavily on Jimmy Butler:

“I just think Miami doesn’t have quite enough,” the scout told Darnell Mayberry and Josh Robbins of The Athletic. “It’s Butler, Butler, Butler and then who else? Tyler Herro, he’s averaged, what, 14 (points), in the playoffs? That’s not going to do it in this series. He’s got to be better. Philadelphia did a decent job on him, but Tyler Herro’s got to rise to the occasion, and I’m not convinced he’s going to be a real productive number two to get them to the finals. He has to be. He hasn’t shown that yet.”

Herro has been the Heat's most important player in the second unit. It's quite simple. If he does not show up in the Celtics series then it's likely that Miami won't reach the NBA Finals. We've all seen how Tyler Herro is capable of stepping up for his team in big moments and this is exactly what the Heat need from him right now.
