The Miami Heat, under Pat Riley, have shown time after time that they aren't afraid to make aggressive moves in free agency. With that said, it's no wonder why they reportedly remain firm in pursuing Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Giannis is still Miami's main focus in the 2021 NBA free agency, per the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.

Milwaukee forward Giannis Antetokounmpo: Let there be no doubt: He remains the Heat’s No. 1 target in 2021 free agency, and the Heat will do nothing to impede its ability to get him.

Antetokounmpo is entering the final year of his current contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Provided that, with his future in cream City up in the air, the dynamic forward is going to be a wanted commodity in 2021.

Despite playing the lowest minutes per game of his career since his rookie season in 2013, Giannis set career highs in points (29.5) and rebounds (13.6). He also recorded 5.6 assists per contest, which is the second-highest mark of his career.

Even though Giannis doesn't boast a consistent outside shot, his ability to attack the basket and play lockdown defense is an invaluable asset for any team. And with the Heat continuing to build an NBA championship-level roster, they believe the Greek Freak could be the piece they need to win a title.

Of course, with the trio of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Goran Dragic, Miami took the Los Angeles Lakers to six games in the NBA Finals. Also, the young role players in Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Kendrick Nunn could definitely entice other stars to join the Heat.

If the Bucks are unable to achieve what Antetokounmpo desires—which is to win an NBA championship—then expect the Heat to make a strong push for him next offseason.
