For the past three seasons, Hassan Whiteside has made a name for himself as a great rebounder and rim protector for the Miami Heat. He led the league in blocks two years ago, and in rebounding just last season.

The 7-foot center is once again enjoying a strong start to the campaign, as he is currently averaging 15.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. He had another solid game on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns by having another double-double, including a monster block on Mike James, who tried to dunk over him. Unfortunately for the Suns guard, Whiteside was up to the task, meeting him at the rim to deny him the slam, and received a ruthless stare down as well for his efforts.

Whiteside was asked why he decided to eyeball James after he blocked him, and he made it known that he was wondering if he got hurt, as he did not stand up immediately. He also admitted to questioning his decision to challenge him, before he returned to wanting to know if he was injured or not.

Miami will need more of these highlight reel worthy plays from Whiteside as they continue to try and improve on their 5-6 record. Their next game will be on Friday, when they face the Utah Jazz, before traveling to Detroit on Sunday to go up against the Pistons to end their current road trip.
