The first basketball coach of Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball is their father, LaVar. As such, he had the advantage of seeing the three grow and mature in terms of their basketball skills. Now that two of his sons have made the NBA, LaVar yet again has shared another daring forecast. In his opinion, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball will be better than Lonzo and LiAngelo.

The Ball patriarch appeared on Club Shay Shay to break down the playing style of his sons. According to Ball, the Hornets rookie integrates Lonzo and Gelo's playing style in his own arsenal. And this alone has made LaMelo the versatile player that he is today.

“Lonzo is a facilitator he can do his thing, he can score. But Gelo is one heck of a shooter. Melo learns from both of them. So Melo is the only one in my family that can play the one or the two.”

Whereas LaMelo Ball could easily play the point guard and the shooting guard spot, LaVar believes that his other two sons have limited options.

“Melo could flip from playing the one out of necessity, to flipping to the two to score a hundred points on his own.

He plays point out of necessity. He loves to score. But he's the only one who can flip his mind to play either the one or the two where my other two sons have to stay in their lane.”

It's an interesting take from LaVar, perhaps in another attempt to build up LaMelo Ball's hype. But it would be interesting to know what Lonzo and LiAngelo think of this proclamation.
