There have been more than a few people who have called out the Charlotte Hornets for what they consider to be an overestimation of newly-acquired point guard Terry Rozier.

Charlotte made the most out of a terrible situation in losing Kemba Walker by striking a sign-and-trade deal with the Boston Celtics, which is what brought Rozier to the Hornets. This was a pretty good bargain, considering how Charlotte could have lost their former cornerstone superstar for nothing, but what made people question the Hornets' front office's decision-making is the three-year, $58 million deal they offered to Rozier.

The 6-foot-1 point guard is good, but is he really worth $19.3 million per year? Well, Rozier himself seems to have heard all the chatter loud and clear, and has sent out a message to his haters via Instagram.

Rozier is obviously enjoying his summer, and is just smiling off all the criticism. He probably knows something we don't, and it looks like he is very much motivated to prove all the doubters wrong next season.

Last year with the Celtics, the former 16th overall pick averaged just 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 0.9 steals in 22.7 minutes as Boston's backup point guard. Rozier will need to do much better than this if he hopes to live up to his hefty price tag.

Then again, one could argue that Rozier's potential has been held back by Boston. Who can forget his outstanding performance in the playoffs two years ago sans Kyrie Irving, where he put up 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 36.6 minutes per contest. Surely, this is the Rozier the Hornets are hoping for.
