Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee started 2019 training camp on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) after tearing his ACL in the 2018 preseason. But that is no more, as, on Saturday, the Jaguars moved him off the PUP list and he is practicing, per NFL Network's Ian Rapaport.

Seeing Lee back in action is undoubtedly good news. Especially because indications last week pointed him to not being ready for the start of the 2019 regular season, says 1010 XL's Hays Carlyon.

Lee, considering he just came off the PUP list, likely won't play in the Jaguars' homestretch of preseason games. But, he's practicing and eyeing a return to the lineup in Week 1. If he can prove to stay healthy throughout the end of training camp and can get back up to playing form, he should be available to start the 2019 regular season.

Entering 2018, Lee was in line to be the Jaguars' No. 1 receiver after both Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns left in free agency. Before his season-ending ACL tear, Lee caught 56 passes, turning them into 702 yards and three touchdowns. In the season before, the former USC Trojan tallied 63 receptions for 851 yards and three scores.

Earlier in training camp, Jaguars wide receiver coach Keenan McCardell said, via USA Today:

“He [Lee] wants to be back and he wants to lead. I think he’s put his mind into coming back and being better than ever. If he continues to think that way he will be. I’m looking forward to having him back because he’s such a big leader in my [receivers] room. He’s a tone setter in the run game and you got to have a guy like that. He’s my alpha dog in my room.”

Whether or not Lee solidifies himself as the alpha is unknown. But, now healthy, he can do just that.
