Golden State Warriors center JaVale McGee is often in the headlines because of something silly he happened to do during the game or a funny haircut he's rocking. On Saturday night, he made headlines by throwing down a ruthless dunk over Los Angeles Lakers forward Thomas Robinson.

Rookie Patrick McCaw drove baseline and threw a swift pocket pass to McGee in the paint, where he quickly went up with the ball, taking Robinson on the way down with him.

The 7-footer made the most of his 14 minutes of playing time. McGee was finishing plays above the rim and swatting shots out of bounds emphatically, making plays all over the floor.

JaVale McGee had one of his best showings of the preseason, finishing with 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting along with four rebounds, two blocks, and a steal during the Warriors' 112-107 win. Performances like this will help him in his attempt to secure a spot in the roster by the start of the regular season.
