The Utah Jazz has put together one of the most fearsome rosters in the NBA in the Western Conference with the trade for Mike Conley as well as the free agent signing of Bojan Bogdanovic, who previously played for the Indiana Pacers.

Bogdanovic was interviewed by Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune about his fit and role on a Jazz team that is widely believed to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference:

Certainly, Bogdanovic might have a case for being the best player on the Jazz team, though the competition is fierce thanks to the presence of Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, and Donovan Mitchell on the roster.

The 30-year-old Bogdanovic is coming off the best season of his 5-year career, which started in Brooklyn as the #31 overall pick. At first, Bogey was relied upon to be a no-defense bench sniper, whose propensity for smooth three-point shooting allowed him to play 23.8 minutes per game in his rookie season.

Now, five years later, Bogdanovic has bulked up and vastly improved his defensive chops under Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan, while also increasing his usage rate and overall production. According to Basketball Reference, Bogey produced career-highs in the following categories in the 2018-19 season: Minutes per game (31.8), points per game (18.0), rebounds per game (4.1), assists per game (2.0) and steals per game (0.9) all on career-highs in field goal percentage (49.7%), three-point percentage (42.5%) and true shooting percentage (61.3%).

The Jazz will surely be a team to reckon with next season in the West, and the addition of Bogdanovic is a big reason why.
