The Utah Jazz have had a very busy offseason, first trading for Mike Conley and then agreeing to sign Bojan Bogdanovic and Ed Davis in free agency.

For a team that had very limited talent outside of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, these are obviously big moves. The Conley trade made them much more relevant, and the addition of Bogdanovic gives the Jazz yet another scorer.

The question is, does adding Bogdanovic now make Utah a championship contender?

Obviously, we have to see how the rest of free agency shakes out first, because if Kawhi Leonard joins the Los Angeles Lakers, then all bets are off, but as of right now, the Jazz look like one of the best clubs in the Western Conference.

Think about it: the Golden State Warriors will take a giant step back with Kevin Durant departing and Klay Thompson set to miss most (if not all) of next season, the Houston Rockets are getting stale and have struck out big time thus far this offseason, and the Denver Nuggets are still very unproven.

Bojan Bogdanovic, Pacers, Jazz

The biggest problem for Utah over the last couple of seasons has been its lack of a secondary scorer beside Mitchell. Now, the Jazz have two of them in Conley and Bogdanovic, taking a whole lot of pressure off of Mitchell and adding some much-needed perimeter shooting in the process.

Opponents can no longer key on Mitchell late in games, as they will also have to deal with the prospect of Conley and Bogdanovic having the ball in their hands.

The Jazz now have four guys who can handle the ball and create offense for themselves and their teammates in Mitchell, Conley, Bogdanovic, and Joe Ingles, which should make them a suddenly very difficult team to defend.

Throw in Gobert being a very dangerous threat in the pick-and-roll game, and Utah now has a pretty good offense.

Not only that, but the Jazz's defense will remain elite, as Gobert is still in the middle, Davis is a really solid defensive big off the bench and Bogdanovic has the ability to guard multiple positions.

Bogdanovic also got a taste of what it's like to be a top option this season in Indiana after Victor Oladipo went down with a quad tear in late January. Bogdanovic became the Pacers' No. 1 scorer, and he did a very solid job.

That experience should pay dividends for Bogdanovic this coming season in Utah, and this time, he'll have a couple of other really good scorers in Mitchell and Conley to support him.

While it's too early to say if the addition of Bogdanovic on top of trading for Conley makes the Jazz a title contender, we can certainly say that they have improved a heck of a lot from this past year, as Utah has turned what was obviously a flawed roster into a very impressive all-around unit.

It remains to be seen where Leonard goes or what else happens for the rest of the offseason, but it's hard to ignore the Jazz as a legitimate threat in what is currently a wide open Western Conference.
